Split a model that is too big for the Bambu Lab H2D
The Bambu Lab H2D prints up to 325 × 320 × 325 mm. SplitSTL splits your model into parts that fit, with pins or magnets, engraved part numbers and 3MF plates ready to slice.
Build volume of the Bambu Lab H2D
Build plate 325 × 320 mm, height 325 mm. Keeping a 5 mm margin, each part must fit in 320 × 315 × 320 mm. Parts can be turned on the plate, so SplitSTL also picks the orientation: a long, flat object can reach about 439 mm along the diagonal.

How many parts for your projects?
Minimum number of parts with a grid split, each part oriented to fit the plate (5 mm margin).

Tips for the H2D
- Keep a 5 mm margin: the skirt, brim and nozzle wipe need room.
- For parts you want to take apart, use magnets (6 × 3 mm is a good standard); for a permanent build, 5 mm pins and glue.
- Print the fit-test coupon included in the export first to tune how tight the pins are.
- Lay each part on its cut face: it is the largest flat surface, so adhesion is better and fewer supports are needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum print size of the Bambu Lab H2D?
The build volume of the Bambu Lab H2D is 325 × 320 × 325 mm. Anything bigger has to be scaled down or split into several parts.
How many parts for a cosplay helmet on the H2D?
A helmet of about 24 × 28 × 30 cm needs at least 1 part on the H2D with a grid split. The natural-joint split of SplitSTL Pro can follow the helmet’s design lines instead.
How do I join the printed parts?
SplitSTL drills aligned pin holes (printable pins included) or magnet pockets, and engraves each part’s number on its cut face. An illustrated assembly guide comes with the export.
