FAQ
Are the threads printable?
Yes from M5 on FDM with the default clearance (0.15 mm); M3 and M4 are marginal, use a pilot hole or a heat-set insert instead.
What is the STEP for?
STEP is a real CAD solid: you can edit it in Fusion, FreeCAD, Onshape or SolidWorks, which an STL does not allow.
Does the print-in-place hinge turn?
Yes, with the default 0.4 mm clearance; print it flat without supports and work it gently off the plate.
